What size refugium is good for a 29 Gallon tank?

I'm planning on making a fuge for my Biocube 29. Would a 1 gallon fuge be enough, or should I go for a 2.5 gallon tank instead? The main tank will have 4 small fish and heavily stocked with corals, mostly mushrooms and other sloft corals.

Thanks Nissan. I do have Tunze manor Skimmer in the second chamber. So considering that space I supose a 1 gal should be enough
