I am not going to get a custom 200 gallon tank I was going to get because I found that I could be just as happy with a 125 or 180 tank for alot less money.
Well, I need help for stocking and size tank (125 or 180)
Things I like are
  • tangs
  • angels
  • triggers
    puffers
    lions
    eels
and any other agressive kool loooking fish.
I really want at least one or two angels(large)
Also tangs have to be on the list.
I am free to any opinions...
and it will be a fowlr.
what do you think????

Regina - first off, go with the 180. If you want to house the fish for a long time with no issues. A little more money up front, but well worth it in the back.
As for the fish, you know what I will say...Angels angels angels!!!
I really like puffers and would eventually like to replace my porcupine! So here is my shopping cart:
Blueface or Emperor Angel (Juvi, get both and watch them change!)
Achillies Tang
Blonde Naso Tang (male for the streamers)
Pink Tail or Blue Throat trigger
Radiata Lionfish
Banana Moray Eel (less than 6")
What do you think?

I like the angel selection you picked. nuff said.
I'm not a big fan of Naso, and would replace em w/ a hippo blue tang. But I totally agree with the achilles tang.
I love my porcupine puffer, and I would highly suggest one, they grow to know their owners, and in turn, become almost dog like.
those triggers are good choices, another option could be a whitelineb(aka flagtail or halfmoon) or a hawaiin black (I think I'd offset the color selection nicely to have a fish that color clashes)
you named my favorite lion, so Id defineatly recommened that as well.
other eel selection could be: tessalata, zebra, snowflake, or jeweled moray would all fit perfectly in that tank.
just my 2 cents.

Seems we have all been there.
I remember telling my wife once I got a 75, I would be so happy as I was upgrading from a 45.
Swore I would be happy.
Then, needed to go bigger.
Was thinking in terms of 150 to 180 so figured I would go bigger to make sure I didn't end up wanting to do that later down the line.
So.....I ended up with a 225.
For the last three years or so, I have been trying to convince the wife of a 400-500. She wants no part of it as wants to do home repairs (wives are so unreasonable
).
So....my point, go bigger!!!
Always go bigger.

I know the feeling..
I started with a 10gallon reef a few years back and said I would be happy. Then I got a 55 gallon tank and said I would be happy. and then I said a 75 or 90 but then i decided on a 200 custom.. But in the end it was cheaper to get a 125 or 180 and I can have more expensive fish!

If you want adult sizes of these fish they get a lot more pricey.
Full colored Angels range from $250-500.
I would rather see them grow up and watch them change, plus they are much less.

I have seen multiple healthy nasos for 40.00 about 4" around here.
And all Lions are only about 40.00 - 50.00 at the most. about 4-5" in size to.....
Most blue throat triggers are about 40.00
I guess most of the fish around here are 40.00 lol

There is one for sale on a rare fish website for $450. They also have a Dragon eel for sale for $950.
It is a toss up. If you want to spend the money, the dragon is more rare. But the banana eel is not common either.

Ok I think I am going to go with a cheaper eel to save money.... I have seen some some cool ones at the lfs for 40.00 ,and they are not snowflakes, so I might look into one of those.

180 gallon
Blueface or Emperor Angel
Hippo Tang
Blonde Naso Tang (male for the streamers)
Niger trigger
Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish( red or yellow color morph)
Ok I changed it around a little and went with smaller cheaper fish and took out some. Can I have both angels??? If I can am I at my limit or can I have another fish?
I went with a smaller lion and got rid if the eel, if that makes any difference.
I would love to have another angel if I can maby a french or queen?
I really dont know what, if anything else, I can have so that is just an idea.
If I cant have another angel can I have a dog face puffer?
These are just all ideas I have so I am just putting them out there.

I like the list. Add the queen or the french. You should be fine. You also have room for the dog face as well.

Naso's will not develop streamers until they get about 6 inch long, ie impossible to tell unless they are almost adults....I expect Campbell will chime in again, but everything I have heard is that angels should not be added until the tank is somewhat extablished, 4-6 months or so, and I would think add the Blueface and Queen together, then the more aggressive Emperor...JMO.

I would add them in this order:
Hippo and Blonde naso first
Add the Niger (needs to be smaller than the other fish)
Add the Dogface or Lion
Once the tank is up and running for around 6-8 months and there are no issues.
I love the fish you chose!
