what tangs are compatible with a purple tang

unfortunately you put one of the most aggressive-towards-other-tangs tang in your tank first. i'd call it safe to say you'll have trouble with just about any tang you put in unless you have a decent sized tank.
go for a tang that has a different body shape, IE kole, blue hippo, etc, to try to avoid aggression.

In a large enough tank, ( for a Naso, large is a must ) IMO, Purples can get along with any tang, even other purples. I have kept one with a sailfin, hippo, three yellows and a blue-eye for years. But I agree with renogaw, haveing the purple first established will make it difficult to add others.
