ok it is really taking all i have for me not to curse in this topic so im gonna make it short and sweet
Why in the.... would my se mogul light be cutting its self on and off by its self???
its on an electronic ice cap ballast dont know how old it is but ive only used it about 30 times on and off
it didnt start truning its self on and off til i plugged it in to a dual power center from coral life i tried plugging it in else where and it still does it
no problems before to day ever
i know its not the ballast and the bulb is bran new
it only stays on for about 20 to 30 mins if that

I don't know but if I get any kind of power blip, mine cuts off. Even a miniscule blip that doesn't even turn off the TV.

i was gonna say i have also heard some bad things about those coralife timers and starting fires. i've had em before with no troubles, but heard others that have had bad luck with them

iFireFight was having exactly the same problem, he still hasn't solved it.
While I'm glad you got it fixed, I'd sure like to figure out exactly what the cause is... sure, it's the power strip, but what about the power strip is the problem I wonder....

its probably not really rated at 1875 watts like it says probably more like 1000
if not may be it can only hold so many volts
man i really hate to hear they start fires, im gglad im gonna be hear to monitor them for the next few days
it was my power cord not being grounded i think maybe hes a cheap skate like i am and got the un grounded power cord like i did lol,
