I would like to know what this is growing along side of this coral. It has been there for about a month never did much but, all of a sudden it has been growing fast. Almost can watch it grow. Any thoughts?

I know picture is not really clear but look at the base and to the right. There is what looks to be a grayish green growths that have holes in them. I do not see anything inside of them. These pieces usually grow about a centimeter per day. Any thoughts?

It is a cabbage leather coral. It will grow stocks and spread just like the way it looks. Very hardy coral.

are you talking about the white things below? If so, I have no clue. Maybe it might be some form of plant growth. I know some plant life comes in light before it darkens.

If it is what I am thinking it is, it is the same stuff I have growing in my tank. I think it is some type of sponge or something. Very harmless and grows relatively fast.
