i don't think this is cyano, its a brown slime and i just used red slime remover. plus i've got tons of flow in the tank. i scrubbed all my rock friday night, and removed my sliming up brown button polyps (which i thought was the culprit), and now its back.

That's cyano for sure. I would not use Red Slime Remover, but ChemiClean if you need to go with a chemical. I've only read bad things about the RSR.

if red slime remover is used correctly I dont see whats different in it. mix the amount it tells you to in a cup of freshwater, like mix it for 3 or 4 mins to make sure its all dissolved. then slowly pour it in all over the tank trying to avoid pouring it right above corals and you should be fine.

I had dinoflagelletes(sorry I suck at spelling) and I finally got a rabbit fish to get rid of it. It got rid of the unwanted algae and some vary expensive zoo's I wanted for sure. One of the best and worst moves I have every made in my life. If you go that route take out your soft corals, but then again you may not get rid of the algae then. It's kind of a crap shoot. I guess just get a very small rabbit fish and hope for the best.
