Greetings all,
In my tank I keep seeing these strands that look like webs. Today I saw a tube on one of my live rocks (Its always been there), but today there is like some legs or arms protruding out. The strands look to be coming from the tube like it is pulling the strands in towards it. Can't photo it my wife has camera and is out of town.
Who knows what this might be?

Vermetid snail, or spaghetti worm. Fairly harmless unless they start to multiply and irritate your coral.

i had one something that sounds similer to what your saying. it was in a clear tube and came out of a cluster of polyps i have. he attatched his tube to the base of one polyp. and he let out these strings as well verying in length but the problem was that the strings would get wrapped up in the polyps and they would spend most of the day closed up...
at first i just cut the tube hoping to get it out but he slid down to the very base and the next day there he was again ... i ended up just taking the one polyp out completely and tossing it... it seemed just to be a harmless filter feeder but i didnt like the webs he put out and since then the group of polyps seem happier as well....
