Hey guys,
so need some help!! I have had my tank up and running for about 3 months + and have been using water purchased from my LFS (both SW and FW) that has all the trace elements and is RO/ID already. But I have found myself buying a lot of it and would like to eventually switch over to my own RO/DI water with a unit.
What is a good unit to buy and how do they work? Any threads you guys would recommend to research up on?
Thanks!
*edit - and you can see I am totally new to this and misspelled it in the title thread! :-(

for how much water is not properly used through the RO/DI unit, and that goes to waste... is the unit truly cost effective?

I believe you will find that ALL RO/DI units, more water goes down the drain than you produce. It is the nature of the beast.
I did a google search on RO/DI units and found a great 5 stage unit that came with a good TDS meter and an automatic shut off valve.
Can't post he link, SWF doesn't allow that.
If interested PM me.
