i currently have a 75 set up and a 10 gallon ready to set up. but i wanted to make a reef tank what should i do set up the 75 or the 10. i would need to buy lights no matter what so what would be the best type of lighting to get
Set up the 75.
I have a 72 that I am in the process of setting up as a reef.
I bought 400 Watt Metal Halides on the big auction site for $112.00. I'll be sure to help you out whatever ways I can, haha.

Use the 75, More water volume is KEY! also then you can use the 10 as a FUGE! Good Luck!
the bigger the better, the 75 gallon will be more stable than the 10 gallon.
Things like precipitation will affect the 10 more than a bigger tank like your 75.
setup the 75 as your display tank and use the 10 as a sump!
i dont know how to do a fuge and are those halides from the auction site i was thinking about getting 2 250 watts and how many watts do you need for a clam

Most people here will say you need Hallides, but there are some species of CLAMS that have less lighting requirements and could be kept alive on VHO or even PC's.
