What to expect when you're expecting????

Saw the coolest thing just now, My hubby was alternating between watching football and watching the tank and said he thought the LR was on fire because it was smoking! So we looked closer and saw it was a snail and figured he was expelling himself. Got out the flashlight and discovered there were TWO very happy snails in the process of, well, you get the idea. Probably the coolest thing I have ever seen.
So when do I get to be a proud mommie of a new snail? Will I need to remove the (what I'm guessing to be female) snail from the tank for a period of time? How will she have any babies? Will I need to protect them from the rest of the inhabitants of the tank (blennies, shrimp, tangs, clownfish) or are they pretty much on their own???

If they were breeding, female will probably lay the eggs somewhere and other things in the tank will eat them
