After letting my 75 go for a year, I turned the lights back on and cleaned the filters. Regular water changes and a little TLC, I have my beauty of a tank back. An explosion of green hair algae immedialty took over but a nice clean-up crew has fixed that. I Currently have 3 hermit crabs, 50 blue leg, 50 snails, and one spiney urchin. The algae problem has been fixed and the crabs are now eating the snails. I also have 2 blue/green chromis. I feed the fish flake and have been feeding the crabs some reef carnivore pellets. Should I remove some of the crabs or change my food? Just wondering, My goal is to get a lion fish.
Other info,
Water qual is good
2 red sea prism skimmers,
whisper 30/60 filter
magnum 350 filter.

Unfortunately, you used a clean up crew to rid the tank of algae, when the problem probably could have been corrected by dumping the two other filter systems you have going...the canister and the wet/dry.
Be that as it may, just add a bit extra food, not much. The crabs dont need a lot to eat to survive, and they will pick on anything. They find food all over the tank as it matures.
