I've got a bunch of base rock that I have had in my shed for a year or more that I want to put in my new tank. I want to make sure that I clean it good so it doesn't mess up my param's. What do you guys suggest I soak it in......vinegar? If so, what vinegar/water ratio should I use? Thanks.

I would soak it in plain salt water or use your water change water to soak it in. No need for any type of chemicals is there?

Water you remove during a water change would be perfect. Change the base rock water everytime tou do a water change on your tank. Let it cycle for no less than 4 weeks.
