I am doing a diy MH for my tank. I got a pfo dual ballast and want to know how and what to make my reflector out of.

polished aluminum is probalby the cheapest, but you will need to make sure that is has a good clear coat (poly) finish. other wise the metal will oxidize and lose its reflectivity. polished stainless steel is best but cost three or four times as much. @least in B'ham

Has anyone used Mylar as a canopy lining? I know it's used in plant "grow" rooms and is 1) lightweight (1-2mils) 2) highly reflective and 3) fairly inexpensive. I was thinking of lining my canopy using a spray adhesive to glue the mylar to the inside. Any thoughts or experience?
Thanks,
Paul

I've been thinking about using flashing as well, I was thinking of using some Mothers mag wheel polish with a buffing wheel to put a nice shine on it.
