what type of eel is this??

In researching, I found "Murena misarazaska", the Czech name for Gymnothorax flavoculus, common name Palenose Moray. I can't tell exactly from the picture and am unaware of variations, so I cannot tell for sure.
If that is what it is, it is commonly collected from the Gulf of Oman, and is reported to max at approx 16 inches.
Looks great, get us some clearer pics if you can.

id have to agree more w/ cagrn, since it doesnt have the faded brown body typical of yellowheads (aka fimbys)

AW and MITSUTECH,
I was wondering if you could tell me why you say it is definately a fimbri? My info that I supplied was because I researched misa at FB. The picture in the reference info looks kind of like the picture of the eel in question. I'll admit my eel knowledge is just beginning, and I was merely trying to assist. So, I am not about to contradict what is said by other more experienced ones like yourselves. I would however like to know what leads you say that it is definately a Fimbry for my own growth., ie are you basing it on the pattern, something in the head, or what other clues are you using.
