What Would I need to setup a 10 gallon tank?

I have a 40 gallon and recently got a 10 gallon setup from a friend... I have a skilter skimmer that was crap for my 40 but I think might work on th 10... It has the cheap lights w/ hood deal, which I'm concerned wouldnt work for most corals.... But at minimum, I think I just need some live rock and I could get going with some damsels...
Any thoughts??
