What's happening on my brain?

I saw this on my brain at night and was wondering what it was. Can someone please tell me what it is? Is this normal? I've had this guy in here for 2 months and this is the first time I've seen this. All my readings are normal and nothing has changed in my tank. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

looks like there was some damage of some kind watch it close if its an old wound and starting to heal I think your alright but is its new then you might have some problems going on.
just to make sure post your test readings and what livestock you have in the tank to be able to rule out a few things.

The brain coral had small white discs on it since I got it, but then tonight the small white disc was expanded outward like in the pic. I'm not sure what's going on...

I guess. It kinda looks like the 'rough tongue' of a snail when it is eating algea off the glass, but also spongy at the same time. The brain has a small white circle on the other site of it as well, but that is where the long sweeper tentacle is coming from. (At least I think, because the guy swells up at night and extends his feeders so I cant' really see.)

the spot that feels spongy doesnt sound good sounds like some sort of bacterial or fingial infection not sure though.
Is it close to any other corals?
and the spot that looks like teeth could be some sort of resession keep an eye on both of them though.

I will keep an eye on it. Thanks. And by the way, my brain is on the other side of the tank away from everything else.

strange it almost looks like it was stung by another coral but if its on the oposite side of the tank thats not it.
I would try to get a few more pics of it and post so maybe a different angel or shot can give alittle more info on exactly what it is I would also try to get a shot of it closed out of the feeding stage of the brain.

It's been a month and my brain is 'happy' again.

I'm not sure what happened to him, but everything apparently cleared up. Thanks for your input MichaelTX
