what's my sun coral's problem?

I recently got a sun tube coral from an online store and it hasn't opened up for a week or so. I can't figure out what's wrong. The tank has all the proper additives and conditions. All my other corals are thriving except this one. I know it doesn't require much light and I have been squirting brine shrimp and zooplankton at it but it hardly responds. Can anyone shed some light on what's happening?

It will take awhile for it to start to respond to food. I took mine out of the tank every day for a week and but into a container of tank water to feed. I did this until every polyp started to open up in less than 15 minutes. After about a week I started feeding in my tank. Now I just throw a piece of freeze dried krill in to tank and let it float for a couple of minutes until all polyps open. Once open I shut off all ph's so I have no water movement. Then feed each head one or two pieces. IMO they are one of the most beautiful corals. Good luck!!

mine did the same thing. i cut the top of a 2 liter coke plastic bottle and set it over the coral. with the cap open, swirted mysis and brine shrimp in the opening of the bottle. works pretty well, and after month having them, they all open, and pretty much at the same time of day. i even see tiny ones opening/growing. they are very beautiful!

I try to feed everyday but doesn't always work that way. But I make sure I at least do it every other day.

ddaddy, how did you acclimate your coral? i think that its still getting adjusted to your water conditions and once it does this you sould be fine!
good luck
