What's That On My Glass?!?

This Sunday I discovered and unusual "thing" on the glass of my new tank. A little under two weeks ago I set up a new 55 gallon tank. The tank is void of any fish and is currently cycling with some live rock that I bought. Last Tuesday I departed for the 4th of July holiday and returned this past Sunday. When I got home, I noticed this wierd jelly-like miniscule "thing" attached to the rear glass of the tank. It's very very small white-jelly like appearence with a touch of brownish on top and what appears to be multiple tiny appendages. It seems to be moving very slowly up the glass. Could this be a young sea anemone, a snail or something else that transported itself on the live rock?

Sounds like a small APTASIA,or a rock anemone too me.Unless you want a million of them in your tank,You should yank it out now. They multiply very quickly, and will sting your fish and corals.

Well, in the few days since my original post, the thing on my glass has grown and I have found a second one on one of my live rocks in the tank. They have tubular body and tentacles and it doesn't look quite like an aiptasia anemone from the photos I've seen(more like a tube anemone). Is it possible that they are aiptasia anemones but look different because they are juveniles?

I just read somewhere else on this message board that feather duster also come on the live rocks. Is it possible that these are young feather dusters?
