probably just the size I really dont know if there is much more difference in them since I dont use them but this bumps you back up to the top so maybe someone that knows will see it.

compact UV lighting is what you would call a "black light" a UV sterilizer does not emmit "black light" it emits a white light with a Purpleish tinge loaded with UV rays that kills bactiria and such. The difference is enourmous. I hope this helps.
