whats the lowdown on camelback shrimp?

Hi i was at my lfs today and saw a came back shrimp, cool looking guy, i already have a coral banded, you think they'll get along? Also I think I heard camelbacks are scavengers, but do they need any extra suppliment?

I use to have three camelback shrimps. Then I noticed that all of my yellow polyps disappeared, then my green striped mushrooms.............I NEVER saw them eat the polyps however they were the only change..........so they returned to the LFS.
Now if you do not keep coral, they were fun! They stayed in view all of the time during the day

I have heard they are not reef safe and will eat polyps, like mentioned above. How about a couple of peppermints?
