Definitely not a sponge. It moves like a snail and can be quite fast actually. Those 2 dots are tentacles. I have seen similar posts on other sites about the same things but never a definitive answer givin. Its about a 1/4" long. I was also thinking many a type of nudi?

Wow... I'm going to stick around and hope somebody will identify it. I've never seen anything like that. I do have a few snails that are covered in red macroalgae, but nothing that bright of red/orange. I hope it's a good thing, it has very pretty color.

Could be a nudibranch. Your indication of tentacles makes me think this.

Really depends on which of the kind or nudi it is. Probably not safe though. Their diet is very narrow, confined to very specific things. So those things would disappear in the tank then the critter would perish.
