Whats up with this live sand in a plastic sack at *****

is this stuff the real deal?? i noticed it was packed in water and had 9 month shelf life in big letters written on the bag has anybody used this before??

im assuming it was natures ocean. yes it is the real deal. it will come in a plastic bag, with maybe a litte water in it. it is great stuff. if you are just starting out a tank, definatley use this. bo
ps, has anyone besides me noticed that ls in the bag feels cold to the touch?

what is a detritivore kit?? and were are they sold??
also i was planning of doing a 80lbs of normal fine grain sand and a 20lbs bag of that natures oceans stuff how does that sound?? i am aiming for a good 4" dsb

oh just thought of this are the bacteria in live rock and live sand the same?? and if i put base rock in a tank with a well established bed of live sand will the rock then become live rock?? or should i stop being cheap and buy real live rock :p
