What's with Lumpy?

Is he preggers or isn't he? Some days he looks huge, other days he just looks lumpy. Some days the female looks HUGE, next day she looks normal. I figure she must be putting her eggs somewhere but not sure if they are in his pouch or not. Today, in these pix, he looks thin but lumpy.

Doesn't look pregnant to me. Most likely he flushes it with water or inflates it to impress the female, which is why it might look more full at times. I have quite a few males with that "lumpy/flabby" looking pouch.

same thought here: probably flushing his pouch. Is he swimming irregularly at all? Does he act like he's having bouyancy problems? If not, I'd chalk it up to "just tryin' to impress the chickas."
