sometimes the knee-jerk reaction is worse for the corals than a "lets wait and see"
corals are animals, like anything else. they adapt.

i will take a picture when i get home from work this evening. This morning it looked even more shrunken.
Just so I know, how do i know if it is dying? I looked on a search for some pictures of diseases and it doesnt look like any of them. Will it detach itsself from the little rock that it is on if it is dying or is dead?
My mom is heartbroken and doesnt want it to die. its her first coral ever.

ok, so i just got home. took some pictures of it and noticed that it looks a little bit bigger than what it did this morning. there are also little bumps where the tentacles were. kinda looks like they might be pushing through but i'm not sure.
here are some pics, not sure if you can see what i'm talking about with the nubs. it did not have those yesterday, or even this morning.

If it is getting bigger than I think you should sit back and wait. The problem with leathers is that it is tough to comment on shape. They all grow funky. I would really like to see you get that ammonia to zero.
