what's wrong with the damsel?kind of corals?

I was wondering what is going on with our three spotted damsel? HE turns colors- when the light is off he turns black which is his normal color and when the lights are on he turns almost completely white.So what is his deal??

I also have some pics of some corals I would like identified if anyone could help that would be great. :notsure:

thanks....how big does it get and do any little flower things pop out of it?so we can tell if it is alive looking.

polyps can come out of it but they dont on mine. if Im not mistaken this has the same groth range as the toadstool, around two feet in diamitor
