I am posting this in this forum but it might get moved. I am posting it here because it has to do mainly with fish. Whats the deal on this forum with people being very overly pushy? I have seen more mean policing of other peoples posts here than any other forum. I understand that some people are new to the hobby and might actually need a bit of advice but whats with all the assumptions that most of the people who post on this board are inherently retarded when it come to the care of live animals? I got blasted in the nano forum for some stupid crap, very stupid. I see the Tang Police hover like hawks just waiting for their chance to strike. Half of the "Show your ???? Tank" threads are filled with negative comments about what people are doing wrong. Whats the deal and am I going to get blasted for this post also?

If there is something specific that you are talking about then you may want to PM a MOD with that information. This thread isn't likely to get much positive feedback. I am sure that your intentions are good though.

I would rather someone correct a wrong behavior, or an incorrect setup than let them continue on killing livestock and just telling them everything is okay, when it isn't. I understand where you are coming from, because more and more often I see myself correcting someones incorrect setup, then positively giving someone feedback. But truth be told, most people that come to this forum are new to the hobby (i still consider myself one) and make a lot of mistakes. While some people may be a bit harsh, I think you just need to take peoples advise with a grain of salt and realize that most people are giving you feedback on a tank because they want it to be successful, not because they want a reason to bash you.

You know, honestly, I was just re-reading my puffer nano thread and just got pissy. I read the thread about the kids stingray and it just boiled over. Probably has something to do with the fact I got my wisdom teeth cut out today but I can say that this thread has little merit and well ...oops. Yea I was just being a b**ch and taking it out on the forum... Sorry guys.

there r a few people on this forum who r mean spirited. but for the most part, people on this forum r nice and supportive.

You have to understand one thing about message boards, people type a thought and a lot of times it comes off like they are attacking or just leaving a nasty comment. Most of the time they are purely meant with the best interest of the keeper and the occupants of that tank.
Now that’s not to say some members are not just attacking and being nasty. Can have a perfect world.
When a member does keep fish coral in tanks that are not appropriate then members do jump in with both feet.
Try to not take it personally and remember that most members want to see everyone succeed with their tanks.
