Im wondering what lighting cycles you guys and gals use for you tanks. I think mine is on too long, heres my current cycle.
Lighting: Power Compacts
5:30am - 10:00am - Actinic
10:00am - 6pm - Daylight + Actinic
6pm - 9pm - Actinic
9pm-5:30am - Moonlight
The only things I have that are light dependant is a Sebae Anemone and coraline algae. How much light does each need.

For Anemone it doesn't matter how long u have yr lights on it how intense the lights are(someone correct me if I'm wrong). IMO pc's won't cut it. The coraline algae will be fine. Cut the actinics by an hour or two like said above.

I run my lighting according to my schedule. On early in the AM, off during part of the day; on again before returning home from work; till bedtime! That way I can always enjoy with the lites on. BTW your power company must luv u!!

Actinics 9 hours - 1 hour before and 1 hour after halide.

Moonlight 15 hours - on when actinics go off, then off when actinics com on.

I shortened my lighting cycle a few hours, hopefully this will also allow my snails to catch up with the diatom bloom im fighting, im really not too concerned right now as ill be changing over to a 80 gallon in 2 weeks but i dont want to transfer too much nusiances although i have to buy a lot more sand and crushed coral.
