whats your substrate?

What is your substrate?...
im putting together my first good sized tank and I wasnt to make sure I do it right. I've been reading on this stuff, and everyone has a different oppinion.
I would like to know what you all chose and why you chose to do it that way?

i chose crush coral, because it is easy to vacume and i dont want sand to get sucked into my overflows, and i heard that ls is bad for a fish only tank because of parasites it has in it ( but i am looking awyay from that opinion, due to i think chelives which knocked some sense into me) plus i liked the way the CC looked

I have CC and will be using it in my next tank since my LFS likes it and hes the only one near and he gives my family discounts all the time.
