when do I start skimming?

I finally got my 90 gal going this weekend. I have 45lbs LR ,4" DSB (southdown) with 20lbs of LS. I'm running a Lifereef overflow into a 30gal sump with a mag 950 return pump.I also have 4 VHO's for lighting.After 3 days SG-1.022,Amonia-3.0,Nitrite-1,Nitrate-20,PH-8.4. When should I begin to use my skimmer? Also how do these numbers look after 3 days of running?

turn the skimmer on yesterday! lol. if you turn it on now (or yesterday) you can keep those # from going to crazy. i waited 1 month to get a good bacteria going. but if the ammonia gets to bad it will kill some life crabs worms ect. in the rock.
turn it on now it cant hurt!but it can help.
