where can i find the thread for the shrimp cycle

i put the shrimp in the net and put the net in the tank. that way i can take it out when it gets gooey, how long do i leave it in there?

i should mention that after you take it out to monitor you ammonia levels to make sure it doesnt get above the 1ppm above that level can hurt the micro fauna in the tank.

You should get your ammonia spike in a day or two. Once it reaches 1ppm remove the shrimp and test for your ammonia to drop and nitrites to develop. Nitrites will take a while to go away. Ammonia disappears faster. Just have patience. When your trites and ammonia are zero you will have nitrates. You can do a water change to lower your trates and your good to go. Once your ammonia is zero and you are testing trites test every few days.
