I used the Marine Lab by Red Sea to do the tests. The tank was set up on Sept. 30th. The LR were cured and came with 2 hitchhikers: a Sally Lightfoot crab and a pitol shrimp. I noticed there were several tiny feather duster worms on the LR and a piece of soft coral, too, when I first got the tank. They are all doing well in the tank. I have tested the water every 5 days and changed 10% water twice during these 15 days. I have been feeding the tank small amount of flakes (the shrimp takes the food every time but the crab is always sleeping in his hiding place.). I can also see a lot of hair algae on the LS and a lot of tiny bubbles in the LS. Is my tank cycled? I did put a small piece of cooked shrimp when the tank was first set up but I think it was eaten by the hitchhikers......but no ammonia, nitrates nor nitrites ever shown in the tests. Why? I am confused!
