where do the colors come from ?

please for give me if this is a stupid question, as i am new to corals. do all the color variations in zoas and rics and things come from the wild or is there a way of "breeding" them to produce new colors? as far as i no most soft corals are a-sexual and "bud" to reproduce but i might b wrong
. im just curious any info is appreciated

I think it has to do with certain strains of zoox in their blood reflecting different wavelengths of light. Not sure though.

so the protiens within the Zoox contain the color...
if i've read correctly.
