Where have you mountedyour VHO ballast?

I just received my 4 lamp VHO harness (hello lights) and electronic ballast and I wanted to know where everybody mounts their ballast. They say to mount it above the level of the tank, but after doing a search here, it sounds like many of you have them mounted either on or in your stands. I don't have a sump so in the stand would protect it from water. I can't wait to get these lights running!

I mounted mine inside and on the side of my stand. Have a great day!

Just be sure use a drip loop so no water gets in to the ballast.

will do! did you mount it to a piece of metal or directly to the wood?

I went with the Hello Lights (Lamps Now) brand and I don't think that it comes with a heat shield, but I've only opened the box once since honey has yet to build the canopy for the lights.
