i'm wondering where ich comes from? I have a FO 55 gal.I bought a coral beauty about a month and a half ago.he has been doing great and all my levels are at normal.yesterday i looked at him and he had like little water bubbles on the top of his head and it scares me.my tang is fine also.i have read alot on this site but im still not sure what to do. im new so i havent been able to get a qt yet and money is tight.can i put just the coral beauty in a qt or both?and if just the coral beauty can go in,can he be ok in a 10 gal? i know im asking alot but my eyes can only handle so much reading on here, and the next couple days are real hectic for me.any help would be appreciated.i dont want to ask lfs. ps i know sometimes ich can be mis diagnost so thats why im asking. is there maybe a test to find out or is it trial and error? i hope not !!! :(

Water bubbles? Like drops of water, or grains of salt? Take a look at the clownfish pair in the FAQ Thread at the top of this forum. There is a pic of ich there.
If you have strictly a fish only tank....meaning no live rock, corals, inverts, snails, crabs, etc....then this is good news. If you are dealing with ich, you can do hyposalinity right in your FO tank without any ill effects. There is also a post on this procedure in the FAQ Thread.
Take a look and see if what your fish has looks like those clowns.
