Where is everyone.

Hey T! My horses seem to be doing pretty well. I had a scare yesterday, I got up and one of mine horses didn't looked well, it didn't look hitched and I couldn't see it breathing. So I went in to get her and when I did she started moving, I really thought she was dead. She was real skinny though and I'm not sure why. If fed them and they all ate well. They all ate well today too and she looks better today. Maybe I didn't make sure she got enough food the day before. They have always eaten like pigs. I feel like a bad mom
Today I'm going to check the new petstore to see if they got my PE mysis in. The only mysis I can find close is SFB mysis, so when they opened I asked if they are going to carry PE and they said they would order it for me
I'd really like to try a better mysis. My pep shrimp are carrying eggs too, I hope they pop soon for a nice tasty treat for the horses. On the days that I work I can only feed them once, so I hope they are getting enough, but for the next 4 days they will be getting a few feedings a day. Right now they are all hunting for left overs.
Well, off to walmart for some new cat litter and turkey baster. I melted my old one while cleaning it

Hiya Teresa! I'm here
Not much happening here. I broke up my pairs to stop breeding for a little while. I need a break. Being in retail and the holiday season fast approaching, I just won't have the time. Yes, even pet stores get VERY busy during the holidays and I'll be back to 60+ hour weeks.
Other than that, not much going on. Planning to set up another tank for a species other than Erectus. Should get that going the beginning of the new year.
All my other tanks are doing just fine, as are my other pets.
How are things with you and your horses?

Well I'm still in the "planning" stages of my tank reset. I know I'm going to get back in the hobby, but it'll be probably after the first of the year. I still miss my horses

It's kinda sad, but I have the tank sitting dry with the rock structure in it, like a daily reminder of what I'm hoping to do. In the meantime, I'm living vicariously through the aquatic equine adventures of everyone on these boards!
So keep posting pics.....they're so much fun to see.

Hey T,
Feeling a bit lonely, are you??
As you know I only have the dwarfs. I haven't wanted to post it, but I did lose one.
Not to the bristle worms, that I am still twezing out whenever I see one. I lost her to my intake. Thought I had it covered well. It was so sad. I now have a piece of plastic canvas wedged in there to keep the other 2 out of that area. Am putting an overflow in my 5g with a piece of net siliconed over the overflow teeth to keep them from getting thru. All filtration will be behind there. I also, got some dry base rock to put in there. Hope to get it set up as quick as possible and start cycling. When all is good with that, I will move in dwarfs and see about getting a few more.
My 65g hex(future erectus tank, is drilled and overflow installed. I got a mag 7 and a 30g tank for refugium. Built the stand, but haven't figured out how to build canopy yet. As I get further along, will post thread so I can get advice/opinions from all of you. Thanks for caring, Amy

Grrrr, darned cable company! I get my phone, internet and TV through the cable company and we've had no internet since Friday evening. TV was fine, phone was fine.........no internet.
We had some serious winds and with all the recent rain, I'm sure several trees came down on Friday.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that you've lost one.
Thanks, it was so sad. I think I've got the other 2 kept out of that area with the plastic canvas, but I still freak out whenever it takes a while to find one. Hopefully, will get the new tank up and running soon.

Yeah, last month it was down for 10 days!
And I DO expect to see a credit on my bill for all these days when they provided no service.

10 days! Yikes! You must have a generator then?? I've been thinking about getting something, probably one of those things that you hook up to your car battery that converts to 110. The only outages that we usually have are during the summer from brown outs. Unless of course we get the big one (!) and that might cause more than just power outage.

I can't imagine 10 days without the internet! OH MY! I'd be camping out at Starbucks until it was fixed.
I camped out at the library. It was torture!
I can live without the house phone, thinking about going TMobile with the wireless connection that doesn't use minutes while connected with their router. Comcast sold the number to every telemarketer in the world because I wouldn't pay a ransom to be "unlisted." Doesn't it cost LESS to NOT print the number, rather than more?
TV, don't watch much.
No internet was killing me!
Oh yeah, to answer the OP, my seahorses are all doing fine. 12 new baby dwarfs on Friday and the erectus is getting fat, fat, fat! That makes 29 baby dwarfs since August 4, and it looks like one original female is mating with one of the juveniles - or trying to.

Hey. Can't believe I have been away from SWF.com forums for so long. Got my 55 gallon set up. Almost left the hobby due to ich and black spot so that has been rough!
Dealing with Ich yet again in my new 55 gallon even though I tried my hardest with this tank.

I still think about getting horses all the time. But then when this stuff happens I talk myself out of it...
Glad to hear everyones horses are still doing well.
Sorry to those that have lost horses
