Im looking into buying a 180- 280 gallon tank and putting sharks into it. I also need to know what type of plumbing i would need. Thanks

180 to 280 is minimum, IMO, for bamboo sharks and other cat sharks, but not more active swimmers. You are pretty limited. Also I would imagine that $1500 to $2000 is a pretty low estimate for what it costs to keep larger tanks and sharks. But others I am sure can chime in.
As for where to buy them, please note that requesting or posting links to other sites, or posting an email to request other links, is a violation of the policy of this site.
You may wish to start with the experience you already have in keeping saltwater tanks and aggressive fish. Do you have any tanks now?

Ophuira is right, you need to look into the less active, bottom dwelling sharks. I have an epaullette and am working on an upgrade to a 240 gallon tank. He is a good shark for the home aquarium because they do not get excessively large nor do they swim freely, (they "crawl" on their fins). Additionally, these sharks will breed relatively freely in an aquarium. For a 240 gallon, expect the following costs:
glass tank w/ tops: $900
stand: $700 (save $ if you can build it yourself)
wet/dry filter & protein skimmer: $600
heater, sand, live rock, misc: $350
These are just estimates but are pretty close. If you can afford to do this type of tank, it is very rewarding. Bamboo and catsharks are beautiful to watch and can be very hardy if kept appropriately. Do not attempt a free swimmer (leopard shark, blacktip, smoothound) for a tank of this size because they will continuously bump into the glass and will inevitably get injuries/infections.

I neglected to mention the cost of the livestock. My epaulette cost me $300 but I have seen them cheaper online. Catsharks can be found for less than $100.

My ultimate tank would be a 300 gallon with a bamboo shark "they are awsome looking" and actually look like a shark.

If you have 4 grand to spend I would say buy a used tank you could get 300 or 400 gallons "or more" for 4 g's thats even with lights and all filtration needed!

As noted in my first post, please do not request links to other stores via email. It is a violation of the terms of use.
Many, many many many many many people assume that public aquaria would be happy to take their overgrown sharks and often this is not true. I would not count on it at all.

does anyone have some demensions of a 300gallon. I'm trying to talk the parents into letting me set up a shark tank (don't worry i don't want info yet) But I need an idea of how big one of these 300 gallon bad boys is.

Very roughly 6' x 2.5' x 2.5' = about 300 gallons. closer to 280.5 gallons with those dimensions. Hope this helps a little.
