Where to find a DIY Retro light fixture step by step?

Basically what the title says.
Looking to make my own 72" cabinet top with 3x 250W MH and 4xT5s or PCs and some LED lunar lights.

You can find retrofit kits on just about every on-line site. Some offer kits that include a reflector, ballast, and bulb, or you could customize it yourself and choose each seperately. The Luminarc MH reflectors are good and have great coverage, and TEK has a decent T5 retro.
