Where'd my hammer go???

This morning I turned the lights on and everything was fine. After dinner, I looked into my tank and saw that the front part of my hammer is totally gone. It's got two branches and looks like the first branch got sucked in. My only new addition was a conch that I found while fishing two days aga. Any way that the conch might've hurt the hammer? Thanks.

What are your water parameters at?
How long have you had the hammer?
What lighting setup do you have?

Water parameters are all within normal limits. I've had the hammer about 2 months. 72watts of lighting.
..........and guess what.............?!?!
the hammer is out!!!!
What about the conchs? They should be coral/reef friendly, right?

when someone asks for parameters.. its best to give numbers.. specifics
