Which Breed?

I can't make up my mind on what kind of clowfish i want. :scared: I don't really care about the other fish for my tank, I will decide on them after i get the clowns. I am basically going to base my whole tank around clownfish. :happyfish But i either want false percula clowns or gold stripe maroon clowns. I was just wondering who on here had either of the two and how much you like them (recommend them). So if you could please help me in this difficult decision I would really appreciate it.

I have a mated pair of goldband. They are awsome...good personality. They are very aggressive only to others that want to mess with their anemone. I guess the smaller the tank the more aggressive they become.

I've got a false perc, i've had a few, and i like them the most, they seem to have alot of personality and are a good size for any tank

My tank setup is a 45 gallon tank w/about 55 lbs of live rock, planning on getting more, but before i get any fish i have to change my cc bed for ls. Hope to have about 65 to 70 lbs of lr. After looking at how happy yours are and i think you have a big tank (compared to mine) i don't think i would want to put that breed in a 45, maybe if i can ever get to set up the 75 gallon that my dad has. :joy:

I'm going to put two Percs in my 10 G nano when I get it set up. I think they're both lovely fish, but I hear Maroons are more bold tempered.
Hooray, another fellow clownfish junkie!

Hey everyone, thanks for the advice. I think i am going to go with a pair of false perculas! :joy: I want something that is not going to be too cramped in my tank, i am just afraid maroons would get too big and not be happy. I also don' t want something that is going to be too aggressive to my other fish. I am so excited!!!

i have a maroon and a false perc paired up..or to the point that they withstand eeach other the maroon is the female and was in the tank before the perc but if you want to mix the two then put them in together and make sure theres no anenomes in the tank
