which bulb to pick???

Lots of this is personal taste.
What type of bulb first of all?
6700 is pretty yellow and not great for corals.
Actinic should not be the only bulb used. Too blue and not enough spectrum for corals.
10,000K is pretty white. Good for coral growth, but needs more blue IMO
50/50 combines the above two. Problem is that you sacrifice usable light for blue/actinic
Best to combine the 10,000K and the actinic. When I used PC lighting, I used two 10,000K and two 50/50 bulbs. Not too blue, and plenty of light for corals. If you want more blue, go with two actinics instead of the 50/50s. If you are only going with two bulbs total, just change the ratios.
I just use 20,000K MH now and dont need anything else! :cheer:
