Ok please inform me of the cameras you all are using to get these great closeup shots. My digital camera just blurs at anything close.
Thanks in advance

I use a Sony DSC-S85. I am definitely the limiting factor in terms of quality of my pictures... still practicing with the camera after 2+ years of owning it.

G5 yep got one. Supposed to be the same as G3 only higher resolution. Still need to look up all the neat extras that you can get with this cam, but that will be a while. Getting married in October, then comes Christmas, its all burning holes in my pocket book.

Sony Cyber-shot....Still trying to figure out houw to get the best photos of my tanks. I have taken some awesome shots outside., but when it comes to the tank shots, they are either blurry or to light/dark. I have read the book several times, and still am having problems. I'll figure it out one of these days. Lisa

Awesome shots jeo. Thanks to everyone so far!! If you were able to get those shots in just a few seeions I have a bit more faith in the coolpix over the G5 and Sony as they seem to have quite a learning curve involved.

Thanks dzones! I took those probably the 4th time I have used that camera to take pics of my tank. I'm not an expert on cameras but I have had the Nikon Coolpix series recommended to me by people who are. I have found it easy to use and I like it better than sonys becasuse it uses compact flash memory which is universal unlike the memory stick that sony uses which is just for sony products.

Here's a photo taken from my new sony, it's out side, like I said above I'm having a hard time with the settings for taking photos of the tanks. There are about 3 or 4 different things you can set. I'm still working on it though.

Honestly, if you have a Sony computer then getting a Sony camera is WELL worth it. There are virtually NO headaches involved when transferring pictures from your camera to your computer via Memory Stick.
Our VAIO has a Memory Stick slot right in front of the computer, very convienent.
As for quality though, I really want to get my sweaty hands on one of those critically acclaimed Canon G5's!
