i am looking at yr 10 gallon pics. ur tank doesnt look stable at all, as far as water parameters. u said u hv 3-4 almost dead corals? if u cant keep corals alive, then keeping a clam will be very hard. i'd wait until ur corals and other livestocks r thriving b4 considering a clam.

Clams can be very tricky as stated above I have to agree.
If you could land a larger tank it would be a lot easier to keep things in check.

the corals were dead from my girlfriends previous tank i removed them already so for not stating it earlier
but i have been keeping up on my parameters. i did a 3 gallon water change yesterday so i will post my parameters soon. as far as the setup it's not complete i still have more LR on its way and the clam will be later down the line maybe in a month or two.

i dont really want to go any bigger maybe in a year or two when the corals grow too big or I move out of my parents place but until then i plan on making this tank work my mini SPS coral tank

u can start off with 1 or 2 easy sps, and see how they fare. if they do good, then add a clam later on. u can get a derasa, since it is the easiest to care for. but it will get big eventually in a few years.

Only will add that if you do end up getting a clam down the road it is easier to keep a larger clam than a small one. If you can start off with about a 3" on you will have better success.
