Could someone please tell me which crab is better for a reef tank. A blue leg hermit or the scarlet hermit crab. Is one safer then the other?

All the crabs are the same, I have like three different types in my tank. I have a blue legged, redlegged, and a zebra hermit. the zebras are the best IMO. My blue legged one doesnt do anything, he stays in the same area. I would go with the scarlets.

blue legs will be cheaper, but smaller and more aggressive than red legs.

It sorta looks like that, but their right claws are VERY LONG.
I got four of them. I still haven't decided if I like them or not. They look a lot like albino blood sucking spiders from Mars. So they are sorta creepy!

The Calcinus elegans? NOPE. They are great critters. They do boss smaller hermits around a little, but I have had no Hermicides.
