which is easier?

Well corals in general, but that also depends on the type of coral to get more specific. As an example, I would take an anemone over a carnation coral any day of the week.

This question would make me believe you have little to no experience with either coral or anemone and should probably look into soft corals to begin with. That is a typical starting point in coral and if your lighting permits you will be able to move on to LPS and SPS down the road. I personally do not like anemones because they have a tendancy to move around the tank and will end up where they want to be and not where you want them.
With the right lighting and parameters you can easily keep a variety of coral and anemone. There are always exceptions that require special care or feeding and you should properly research any specimen before purchase.

IMO, soft corals are easiest, then lps, then anemones and lastly, sps. we don't keep sps because they are more difficult, need more flow and lighting, and Iagain this is my own opinion), i think most of them are ugly. we picked up a galaxea yesterday and it's beautiful! looks like a starry night from a short distance except it's brownish red sky with lime green stars!

This is a pretty standard opinion shared by most people I know... I'd say anemones and SPS are on the same level though.

Corals would be my choice. I'm not going to have an anemone in a reef tank just because they have a tendency of wandering around and stinging corals and fish.

thats what i thought, i prefer coral myself. my friend who has been doing FO tanks for about 5 years now said she prefers anenomes to coral any day.
not me!

My softies and lps have been pretty easy, lost one anenome because I overfed it (I think-the new one has found its home and seems happy!), now trying some sps.
I got me a galaxea today and it is a sweet coral! opened right up after a 10 minute ride home and looks so cool-a waving field of little spots on a green background.
