Seriously I have absolute ZERO experience with these propeller style powerheads. My last tank had 6 conventional powerheads from 270-600gph to create full coverage. I cant see that again plus I'm going for quiet and low wattage. I have a maxijet 1200 and thought about a mod kit but from what I hear it will be way too much regardless of propeller.
Wll two Koralia 1's be good for a 30g mixed reef (and I mean mixed from ricordia at the bottom to SPS at the top)? How about 2 nano's or 1 #2 or 3. I just have no sense of qauging how they rate the flow rates (or even how they come up with them being a propeller with wide dispersion). I already have a 600gph return pump for some conventional coverage (about 350gph into the tank). with that can I do just one powerhead instead of two?
