I am getting a new lighting system for my tank. It is a 90 gallon fowler that im turning into a reef. Ive been looking at 2 nova extreme units. One is a t5 6bulb unit with individual reflector for each bulb. The other is a 8 bulb t5 unit without individual reflectors. I want a mixture of different corals softies lps maybe some sps or a clam. Im looking to get some opinions on which one you guys would get given they were the same price. Thanks for the help

i dont think nova extreme has individual reflectors they have a single reflector molded half way around each bulb

The pro models have the countoured refelctors (not as nice as a true individual reflector, but way better than a flat one.
The regular nova extremes (not the pro) have jsut a flat reflector that goes behind all the lights. Not worth it in my opinion. If you go t-5 get at least contoured reflectors.

i dont know how much you are willing to spend but ati is top of the line or tek. if you go with ati you get to pick what bulbs you want out of they're selection of bulbs they have. me personally i have an 18'' deep tank with the 6 bulb fixture (extreme pro) and i think its plenty of light i have a maxima clam on the sand bed and as soon as it found a place it liked it has been happy since. and i have sps at the top 2/3 of tank and they are also doin fine! so imo the extreme pro is more than enough. but if you can afford the extra go with the ati

I have the same 6 x 54w light on my 120g and same results. good light for the money.
i am going to replace the bulbs with some ATI bulbs in the next couple months
