Which nano?

Hey everybody. Long time reader, first time poster. Anyways, I have been doing some research, and am looking to start a tank in the next month or so. I've had several freshwater tanks throughout the years, but this will be my first shot at saltwater. For the price and size, I think I'm either going to go with the 24 gallon jbj nano cube, or the 29 gallon bio cube. Any opinions? Advantages/disadvantages to either? Also, pricewise, the nano cube seems to run about $100 cheaper than the bio cube. Is the extra 5 gallons worth $100? I'm not sure.
Thanks for the input.

My 29g BioCube will be a month old on Friday the 1st. I love mine so far. I've been going very slow. I only have 40lbs of live sand, 14lbs of live rock (10-11lbs more to come), 3 hermits, 1 emerald crab and 1 peppermint shrimp. My first coral is on the way, a Kenya Tree, and I've got some snails coming, too. I did do a little modification with the filtration. I removed all of the bioballs from the middle section and replaced them with 2 jars of Seachem Matrix, a Seachem Purigen Bag and a layer of filter floss/foam floss on top. I replaced the grate on top and have the filter cartridge from the right section laying on the grate. My water flow is great and so are my water readings. I'm getting a powerhead next, but I'm going to take my time adding frags and fish. Oh yeah, and if you do weekly water changes, you don't need a protein skimmer. Hope this helps.

Yeah, mine is Tonga, too. I really like the look of it. I've got that same pretty mint green coraline, also. And I'm getting a lot of purple starting to fill in as well. I have two from Tonga and one from Fiji, so far. My tank will just be 1 month old tomorrow. Just have 3 different types of hermits, 1 emerald crab and 1 peppermint shrimp. I just ordered my first coral, a Kenya Tree, and I have some snails coming, too. Here's a pic of mine taken last week. As you can see, I have a long way to go, but I've decided to take it slow.

What do you think a good starter size is? 50? 75? Mainly, I liked these tanks because they are all inclusive (filtering, etc). I've never set up a larger tank with a sump or anything, how big of a pain in the a-- is it?

Before you buy anything, my first suggestion is to really figure out what you want out of your tank.
The nano cubes are nice, but they fill up fast. If you know you are the type of person who really gets into things once you start them, you may want a bigger tank to begin with. Starting with something in the range of a 75 would be very nice. Setting up sumps, skimmers, and things of that nature is not difficult, nor does it require much more work (as long as you have the money to do it the right way from the start).

Is there a thread on here, or another site that explains how to set up filtration? Just trying to get as much info as I can before I make a decision...
