Which one is good for me?

I have now a 95g tank with a 20g refugium. and i really need a skimmer!
1. ASM G2 SKIMMER w/MODS SEDRA 3500 PUMP: what the seller did:
Mod 1. I used Enkamat? (can't remember exact spelling) to mod the impeller. I found this mode on reefcentral. dot com. I have an extra piece to replace if the old one ever wears out. Mod 2. I removed the adjustment pipe and installed a gate valve. This allows for much better control when adjusting the right amount of foam. Mod 3. I had this skimmer plumbed directly to my overflow. If you don't plan on plumbing this to your overflow they you can simply cap off the pipe that comes out of the body of the skimmer.
2. Euro Reef ES5-2 Protein Skimmer
3. Xtreme MSX Series 160
budget is $150.00 on used skimmers.

I'm not sure what your budget is but have you checked out the Vertex line of skimmers? You can get a Vertex IN-100 for just under $200. That's the direction I would go for the money. Good luck.

Euro-reef= too small. it basically a ASM G1x equivalent. Look for larger used Euro-reefs while your shopping.
ASM G2 modded= all that work equates to about a pinwheel MSX 160 depending on the mesh job. they are the same diameter, the pump modes nulifies the SICCE advantage (except power consumption). the ASM has a little more body due to the pump being underneith the MSX but the MSX has the appropriate size neck to handle the pump performance which more than nullifies the space underneath used for the pump (equates to having to wet skim the ASM or run it atypically low which makes it a pain to keep the neck clean and efficient. that applies to octopus NW or any small neck needlewheel with a pump modded for significant air draw).
that leaves the MSX. If you can get a MSX 160 for $150 or less go for it. the pump under the skimmer and the price closeness make it less desirable compared to the MSX200 but its more compact and the closeness in price is a non issue on a used model. It will do everything the chopped up ASM will do with a more appropriate neck size and no chop shop mods. it will likely have years less of wear and tear since the ASM could very well be years older than the extremes introduction. the MSX is also better built to begin with.
the only difference (that matters) between the vertex and a euro-reef is that an appropriate size vertex would be affordable and the pump is MUCH less reliable. It has a modified Resun which has had all kinds of reliability problems for that skimmer (google the skimmers yourself). If the pumps didn't seize on so many people this would be the skimmer to get. they are on generation 2 and they had an assembly/manufacturing pump issue causing the problem on earlier models but I still dont think the reliability problems are totally resolved and resuns have had issues long before vertex founders defected from euro-reef.

seems like they are trying to even out the deal so you both get what you want.
