Which tank is better? Also, please advise on filter

If you are limited in space, is 30 gallon hexagon better than 16 gallon bowfront for a pair of clowns and few bottom dwellers? Or it's not even worth in eithre case?
ALSO, if I get this - can u pls advise what kind of filter I should get - I want a canister, not overhang

I would say go with the 30gallon. It'll be fine for a pair clowns and the more water volume the better
