There are loads of tests out there, for eveything i can think of and some i don't know about. For a tank that will have a cleanup crew coming, and already has 42 lbs of live rock with nonlive sand, which ones do i need...I know i need ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite and a PH test but are there anymore that i need to make sure everything is going as planned, or to make sure everything is stable?

Hiya,
If you're going to get corals, you need a calcium, alk, and magnesiam test kit also. Salfert is really popular test kits.

I would add alk as a minimum compliment to ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH.
Calcium as mentioned, especially for a reef or even coralline growth.
Phosphate isn't a bad addition - especially if algae becomes and issue (maybe silicate too).
If you do go reef, and start dosing Iodine, etc...test kits for those would be appropriate as well.
